Unlimited fiber length is called filament or filamentous fiber. In the natural fibers, almost all of them are spun, except for the silk. Generally speaking, yarn made of filament is stronger, neat and shiny than spun yarn.

The composition of filament yarn are two different fiber counts, one is a “single” filament yarn, and the other is “multiple” filament yarn. “Single” filament yarn is directly drawn from a single fiber. Multiple filament yarn is made by twisting multiple filaments together. When we spin the multiple filament yarns, we always add the twisting process to form the twisted filament bundles. If the filament itself undergoes fluffy expansion and contraction processing, it can be spun to look like a spun yarn, and the performance of air permeability, comfort, and elasticity is better than that of the general filament yarn.
